The third reunion was held on Sept. 27-30, 2018 in Branson, MO.

Our 2016 reunion was also held in Branson.

It is never too soon to plan to attend in 2020!

From the Editor

Thank you for contacting us. I was Navy and taught from October 1970-October 1971. During the time I was in Vietnam, I taught at Royal Annex, JGS, Vung Tau and the new school at Tan Son Nhut.

My contribution to the reunion effort is to maintain the spreadsheet of instructors. Any information (including your own) you could provide to update or correct the spreadsheet would be greatly appreciated.

It seems as though we went by a variety of names: AFLS, DLI, MACV Advisory Team 62, Palace Dogs, ATFAT2. AFAT7 and were drawn from the ranks of the Army, Navy and Air Force.

This site is designed to recognize all those that served in this capacity and to promote and enhance similar efforts at other locations on the internet.

The Yahoo Group site Palace Dogs Site that contains some interesting AFLS related conversation, a lot of pictures and even some After Action Reports that you may find interesting. Be sure to look in both the pictures and file sections.

Palace Dogs Facebook Site We are also represented on FaceBook!

Members of this site have access to a spreadsheet containing all of the instructor names and data that we have been able to find. The spreadsheet is sorted alphabetically with sections for each branch, officers, and instructors. DLI personnel are also included. Hopefully you will find some names you recognize and be able to reconnect with some of the instructors you knew in Viet Nam.

There is also a section for photos for those visual memories. Contribute some of your own photos.

The site will go and grow in the directions that users advocate. As an exmaple of this, we recently had communication concerning the need for information on Agent Orange Exposure which has been added.

This is a Saigon video you might find interesting. The changes in the city are amazing but the traffic looks as terrible as it was in 1970.

Here is a video showing the results of the Dong Khanh School bombing on August 7, 1969.

Here is a video of Vung Tau today. Many of us spent some time teaching at the Army school in Vung Tau.
